A typical referral process timeline is as follows.
- 2 working days – acknowledgement receipt for fully completed referral papers sent.
- 8 working days – senior managers will consider the referral. There are two possible outcomes from this process.
If the referral information is sufficient to come to a decision this will be communicated to the referring body within 2 working days of the decision been made.
If further information is necessary this will be identified, requested and gathered within 2 weeks. Senior managers will then reconsider the application within the following 8 days and the decision communicated to the referrer within the following 2 days.
