Bespoke GCSE and Functional Skills Groups at R.E.A.L.

R.E.A.L. Education offer a range of bespoke GCSE and Functional Skills groups for young people – with places available for September 2019.

Functional Skills give learners qualifications in English, Mathematics and ICT that equip them with the practical skills needed to gain the most out of education, work and everyday life. There is a strong focus on explanation and problem-solving.

Most learners who study GCSEs with R.E.A.L will take Maths and English. They may take English Literature, Science and Computing or choose to take other subjects that interest them such as Citizenship, Geography, Art and Design and History.

These bespoke, tailored groups aim to meet the needs of each individual learner whilst also creating a conducive learning environment for collaboration with other learners in each setting.

Locations range across the East Midlands – with groups available as far north as R.E.A.L.’s Worksop Hub all the way down to Nanpantan Hub in Leicestershire.

There are some new groups that will start in September 2019. At Nanpantan Hub there will be a new BTEC Sports group and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) group. At City Hub there will be a Cross Curricular Engagement group – combining core subjects with community links and practical engagement – and new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) groups. At Newark Hub new Core Curriculum groups will also be developed over the new academic year.

Referrals for these groups can be made throughout the academic year. If you would like more information about bespoke GCSE and Functional Skills groups at R.E.A.L., call 0115 220 400 or email enquiries@real-education.org.
