Key Stage 2 and 3 learners from across R.E.A.L. Education attended celebration events at R.E.A.L. Independent School, Blidworth Hub on Thursday 4th of April.
For the first time since the events started in the summer of 2014, two separate events had to be held due to the increase in the number of learners who were able to attend. Learners, parents, carers, siblings and other family members all watched a short presentation of work completed during the term, before certificates were presented by Brian Smith and Steve Quinn.
Learners received certificates for good work, team spirit, group work, helping others, swimming and attendance, to name but a few.
Headteacher at R.E.A.L. Independent School, Nikki Purcell said: “We are proud to announce that every learner got an attendance certificate of either bronze, silver, gold or platinum, and for the first time there were multiple platinum certificates for 100% attendance! There were also more gold and platinum than silver and bronze certificates.”
“We would like to thank all parents and carers for their support in encouraging attendance and staff for creating a brilliant and motivating curriculum that makes learners want to come to school.”
The celebrations ended with an opportunity for parents, carers and family members to see the work their children had completed, talk to staff and chat to each other with a cup of tea and a cake.
The next celebration events will take place at the end of the summer term and will involve an end of term BBQ in addition to the celebration event.
