The Job Explorer Database provides comprehensive information about hundreds of careers – detailing about what the job is like and what it involves. Information about salaries, training, qualifications useful for the jobs, and suggestions for work experience is also provided.
The database also includes an easy-to-use quiz so learners can explore career options and think about what will and won’t suit them. It will also help learners to plan their school choices for a particular potential career.
The Job Explorer Database is available at Woodhouse Road, Concorde House and Blidworth Hub and can be used by learners from Key Stage Two upwards in sessions with tutors or at home. R.E.A.L. Education Operations Manager Kay Carter will also be using the database as part of her careers, advice and guidance interviews.
Clare Walker, Learning Manager and School Lead for Employability & Progression said: “The Job Explorer Database enables learners at R.E.A.L. to have access to good quality careers information in a fun and informative way. It’s also a fantastic way for learners to start thinking about their potential future careers and what they need to do to reach them.”
