Santa’s R.E.A.L. Sleigh
Santa’s helpers have been working hard at R.E.A.L. Mechanics and R.E.A.L. Construction to make sure that Santa’s sleigh is ready in time for Christmas!
R.E.A.L. learners have helping to construct the sleigh that has been upcycled from new and recycled materials. The learners have been introduced to new carpentry skills and have also been also putting into practice the skills they have acquired in their construction sessions.
The sleigh was used by a local Rotary group on the streets of Clipstone, Nottinghamshire to deliver presents to local children in the run up to Christmas.
David Pyle, Tutor at R.E.A.L. Education said: “We were asked along with R.E.A.L. Mechanics to come up with an idea for the Rotary club’s new sleigh.
“This assignment has been a good experience for our learners. They have been able to put into practice some of the skills they have learnt, as well as learning new ones whilst working on this project.
“The sleigh looks fantastic – we are really proud of all our learners for all the hard work they put in to finish the job in time.”
