World Skills Show

Last month, some R.E.A.L. learners and tutors visited the World Skills UK Show at the Birmingham NEC.

The Skills Show is the UK’s largest skills and careers event. Its aim is to help shape the future of a new generation by helping young people to go further and faster in their careers.

The trip was organised by tutor Imogen Hind as part of her careers role at R.E.A.L.

Vicky Lane, a tutor based at R.E.A.L. Education’s Nanpantan Hub, also accompanied the learners to the show. Vicky said: “We had a fantastic day at the World Skills UK Live show – there was lots to see and do! There was an opportunity to try out some armed forces roles, and we also collected some fantastic information about apprenticeships and colleges.

“The visit definitely sparked some careers inspiration for all of them – they all had an unforgettable experience.

“Thank you to Imogen for organising the trip!”
