A R.E.A.L. Welcome

The Human Resources (HR) department at R.E.A.L. have been working hard to produce a comprehensive induction process to enable new starters to feel fully prepared for their new role. This article highlights the positive feedback the team have gathered from inductees over this academic year.

So far this year, there have been six inductions for a total of 55 new starters. Some of the brilliant comments about the induction that the team have received include:

– “Positive experience”
– “Friendly staff”
– “Informative”
– “Interesting”
– “Thought provoking”
– “Engaging”

After each induction the team asks all inductees to ‘score’ the presentations they have received out of 10. A breakdown of the scores are below:

– 63% of inductees scored 10/10 for all sessions delivered
– 21% of inductees scored 9/10 for one of the sessions delivered
– 11% of inductees scored 8/10 for one of the sessions delivered
– 5% of inductees scored 7/10 for one of the sessions delivered

In addition to these positive scores, the team has also received some great feedback. One inductee stated: “I was interested and impressed to hear how the company started and to learn about their ethos/drive to help young people. It is very refreshing to meet and have senior leadership speak so openly to everyone.”

Another inductee expressed that: “Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. All colleagues being inducted expressed the same feelings and felt that everyone they met had been very easy to approach.”

Following a review of the feedback received, the HR team are now looking to develop the induction week, to include a review on timings, session content and resources and ultimately improve the evaluation scores further!
