R.E.A.L. learners have been taking part in a different kind of Apprenticeship Week!
Held across R.E.A.L. from Monday 8th to Friday 12th February, the aim of Apprenticeship Week is to support learners with quality and meaningful information about the opportunities available to them to progress further in their chosen career.
Clare Walker, Head of Personal Development, said: “Due to the current situation we have all found ourselves in, we knew we needed to try something new for our learners for Apprenticeship Week this year.
“We got in touch with the team at Amazing Apprenticeships to find out what support they could offer us. They were fantastic in helping us to pull together a programme of live, interactive workshops for learners.”
Over 40 learners from across R.E.A.L. signed up to take part in the three inspirational workshops, which included the National Apprenticeship Week Big Assembly on 9th February. The Big Assembly is a live, interactive broadcast in which tens of thousands of learners from across the UK get involved in the event simultaneously.
There were also dedicated apprenticeship activities available throughout the week, designed to inspire learners and help them to think about their future potential learning and employment pathways.
Clare Walker said: “At R.E.A.L., we feel really strongly about empowering learners to think about their plans and aspirations for the future.
“We were really impressed with the numbers of learners that got involved with the workshops and activities during Apprenticeship Week.
“It was a brilliant week that brought apprenticeships to life for our learners and really sparked their imagination about potential future careers options.
“A huge thank you to everyone who was involved and made the week such a success. It was a R.E.A.L. team effort to put it all together.”
Amazing Apprenticeships was founded to ensure that more individuals and businesses can unlock the benefits of apprenticeships. They have a huge range of inspirational and informative resources for parents and learners, which can be found on their website by clicking here.
