R.E.A.L. Christmas Fayres

R.E.A.L. learners will be organising and running their own Christmas fayres this year.

Fayres will take place at the Gallows and also at R.E.A.L. Alternative Provision School (RAPS).

Claire Bishop, Learning Manager and Transitions Lead at R.E.A.L. Education said: “The learners at the Gallows are really enjoying getting involved with all the preparations for this year’s Christmas fayre! All money raised on the day will go towards fun activities for our learners at the Gallows.”

The Christmas fayre at RAPS will involve learners being given £5 each, and then having the opportunity to try and make their £5 grow by selling produce such as cakes or Christmas decorations, or raise money in other creative ways!

Clare Walker, School Lead for Employability said: “The ‘£5 grow project’ fayre will offer RAPS learners the opportunity to develop enterprising skills that will prove invaluable both in their academic life and future careers – it will be great fun too!”

The Christmas fayres will take place on:

– Wednesday 11th December at the Gallows (Ilkeston Hub) from 1pm – 2.30pm at the Gallows Inn Playing Fields, Nottingham Road, Ilkeston, DE7 5BP.
– Tuesday 17th December at RAPS Woodhouse Road, 1pm – 2.30pm – 6 Woodhouse Road, Mansfield, NG18 4AJ

Staff, young people and the community are all invited to attend.

RAPS Mansfield will became RIS Mansfield on 27th May. The new RIS website will be launching shortly.
