R.E.A.L. High Tea for the Community

High Tea for the Community

On Friday 22nd June, 14 elderly Mansfield residents were welcomed to R.E.A.L. Alternative Provision School (RAPS) for High Tea and entertainment.

RAPS learners and staff organised the community event in partnership with Respectful Care who provide high quality home care services to vulnerable adults. The afternoon was financed by R.E.A.L.’s successful bid for funding from the Co-op Community Fund.

The guests were treated to a sumptuous High Tea followed by a game of bingo and a raffle. The food was prepared by R.E.A.L. catering learners under the guidance of Michelle Keeling (Catering/Hospitality Lead Tutor) and guests were welcomed by one of our learners, Jordan, who did a fantastic job making everyone feel at ease.

Martin Davies, Headteacher at R.E.A.L. Alternative Provision School said: “I am so proud of everyone at RAPS who helped to make this event a success – it’s so important to engage with our local community. We’re looking forward to hosting future events soon.”

RAPS Mansfield will became RIS Mansfield on 27th May. The new RIS website will be launching shortly.
