R.E.A.L. Welcome for the Community

Fun and Games!

On Friday 9th November, elderly Mansfield residents were welcomed to R.E.A.L. Alternative Provision School (RAPS) for fish, chips and entertainment.

RAPS learners and staff organised the community event in partnership with Respectful Care who provide high quality home care services to vulnerable adults. The afternoon was financed by R.E.A.L.’s successful bid for funding from the Co-op Community Fund.

The guests were treated to a fish and chip feast followed by a game of bingo, and was organised and planned by a level 3 National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) catering learner as part of his course.

Kirsten Gibson, School Lead at R.E.A.L. Alternative Provision School said: β€œWhat a truly wonderful job our learner did, planning and preparing the whole event (and marshalling the staff!). What an invaluable and memorable afternoon we have had, it was brilliant.”

RAPS Mansfield will became RIS Mansfield on 27th May. The new RIS website will be launching shortly.
